How we could successfully grow together
A successful relationship can be defined as a relationship in which all involved parties work towards a common goal and benefit in a certain way. These benefits can look differently for each party; e.g. someone wants to learn something new and another one wants to add value or gain more influence. Unfortunately, or luckily the perception of the benefits might change and new priorities evolve over time. This adds complexity and uncertainty to the relationship and it has to adapt accordingly. If only one party benefits over a longer period of time, the relationship will fail. I think most of us do have noticed this either in private or professional life. I know, this is a kind of strange introduction for a cover letter and you might ask yourself, what the point is. I want to make it clear now and describe shortly, why I want to leave my current company, in which I am an eminent employee.
I started my career with 20 years at my current company, Infineon Technologies AG, a company which I got to know from my internships. I was really proud of getting a full-time position and was motivated to work my ass of. I also noticed that colleagues who held higher positions had university degrees, which was a part of my motivation to study. My career developed really fast and after a year I was responsible for multiple IT tools which were used by operation teams globally 24/7. I learned so much from the idea of a product to its’ go-live; could participate in global teams and work on latest technologies. Recently I joined a PMI team to take care of a major acquisition and I think I do not need to mention that just a few and only trustworthy employees retrieve such tasks. Everything might seem perfect from outside but for me it isn’t – anymore. Besides the PMI topics, I feel that my learning curve stagnates, and I don’t want it to. I get more and more organizational tasks which are not aligned with my interests. Last and most importantly I cannot bring in my private fields of interests in finance and the crypto market. So, this are mostly the reasons why you are currently reading these lines.
I stumbled over your company Sygnum Bank on LinkedIn. I took a look on the company profile and it is like a dream to me. The locations in Switzerland and Singapore are very appealing to me as I know them already from personal trips. The most recent job openings would be a one of a kind fit for my person. In my master thesis I analyzed important properties of the Bitcoin blockchain and immersed myself in this technology field. I know my thesis is most probably just the tip of the iceberg, but I am fully motivated to get started in the whole blockchain and fintech area and to learn everything I need. At the University of Klagenfurt, I studied Information Management along my fulltime occupation at Infineon Technologies. This can give you a bit of a guarantee that I’m willing to go the extra mile and to learn things fast. Besides the role as a Blockchain Engineer, I’d be open also for the Fullstack Engineer role and for everything else where I could help with my skills. Furthermore, I’d also be ready to start in Switzerland or Singapore, wherever it fits you best. For me it is most important to finally get started in the Fintech sector at a company where I can make an impact and be a loyal and long-lasting employee. If this all sounds promising I would really love taking our endeavor further.
